AI-based reporting

On the Reporting tab, Super Admins run queries about platform usage, users, entitlements, and admin activity. You can save those queries as templates and schedule the saved templates for delivery to an email address. The page includes a natural-language assistant. Ask in plain English, or use a quick-action report, instead of building the query by hand. In Liberator 2.3 and 2.4 this assistant is the AI Reporting panel. In Liberator 2.5 and later it lives on Reporting, above the saved-template list.

Who can use it

Reporting is a Super Admin capability. Results use the same platform data the admin portal already uses for usage and entitlement views.

The panel includes preset buttons that run canned reports and return a narrative summary (and an export when applicable):

Free-form questions

Type requests in natural language, for example:

• “Give me the usage for <username> for the second week of February.”
• “Which users were most active yesterday by query count?”
• “Show entitlements for <username>.”

The assistant resolves the request against live data. It identifies the relevant dataset(s) and computes per-dataset or per-user totals (queries, records, bytes, GB). It can also generate a downloadable Excel (.xlsx) export.

Username clarification

If a typed username does not match a real account, the assistant asks you to confirm or correct it and suggests likely matches. After you confirm, it continues with the corrected user without requiring you to retype the full request.

Empty periods

If no usage occurred in the requested window, the assistant still produces a valid (header-only) export and explains that there was no activity, rather than returning an error.

Excel exports

Reports from quick actions or free-form questions can be downloaded as .xlsx files. The chat response includes the filename and file size. Typical columns include user, dataset, query count, record count, bytes, and gigabytes, matching the summary shown in the panel.

Reporting tab

In Liberator 2.5 and later, open Reporting in the admin portal.

1. Run a query in the assistant, or start from a quick action.
2. Download the Excel result, or click Save as Template and give the query a name.
3. The template appears in the list on the same page. Run downloads a fresh copy. You can edit or delete the template later.

Schedule a template

Open Schedule on a saved template. The template must have a date window first. Each scheduled run resolves the date window again in the schedule’s timezone, so a “Yesterday” report moves forward with the calendar. Turn Enabled off to pause delivery without deleting the schedule, or click Remove Schedule to delete it. The template shows whether the last run succeeded. Webhook is an alternative to email. Provide an HTTPS URL and optional headers when the report should be posted somewhere other than an inbox.
